Description of Membership Types and Registration Categories

  1. Members: Members in good standing of the International Society of Nephrology (ISN), South African Renal Society (SARS) and African Association of Nephrology (AFRAN). Membership number must be provided in order to profit from this rate.
  2. New ISN Members Joining: Individuals currently not a member of the ISN who wish to attend the Congress and join ISN as a member at the same time (significant savings)
  3. Non Members: Individuals registering to the Congress but not interested in being ISN members
  4. ISN Members in Training: Young nephrologist members of the ISN under the age of 37. Free for eligible individuals. CLICK HERE for more information.
  5. Allied Health Professionals including Renal Care Society of South Africa (RCSSA) Members: Renal health professionals who are not MDs – including dietitians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and technicians

Payment Information

Credit Card
Credit Card payment (in USD only) is the preferred method of payment. Credit Card payment (in USD only) is the preferred method of payment. The following credit cards are accepted as part of the online registration process: VISA, MasterCard and American Express.

Bank Transfer
Please contact the Registration Customer Service at registration@wcn2015.org if you wish to pay by bank transfer. Any bank charges by local bank or intermediate bank must be borne by the remitter. Deadline for payment by bank transfer is Feb 27, 2015. After Feb 27, 2015, please settle the payment by credit card. Clearly indicate the name of the participant(s) and WCN 2015 in all your remittances.

Payment Deadlines and Conditions
Full payment must be received before the corresponding deadlines to receive early or regular registration fees. After each deadline expires, the subsequent rate applies automatically. Deadline for payment by bank transfer is Feb 27, 2015. After Feb 27, 2015 only payments by credit card can be done.

Replacements and Cancellations Policies
Cancellations of registrations are subject to an administrative charge of 150 US$ provided the cancellation is received before Feb 13, 2015. For cancellations received after this date no refunds will be made. Visa refusal is no reason for refund if participation is cancelled after Feb 13, 2015. All cancellations must be made in writing to the Registration Customer Service department and refunds will be made after the Congress. Replacements (delegate name change) of a registration may be made until Feb 13, 2015 free of charge. Replacements made after Feb 13, 2015 are subject to an administrative fee of 75 US$.

Double Payment/Over Payment
In case of double payment/over payment an admin fee of 45US$ is applicable for refund.
Reprints of lost badges onsite during the congress are subject to an administrative charge of 50 US$.

Letter of Invitation
On request, the ISN WCN 2015 Customer Service staff will send a letter of invitation to attend the Congress. Such an invitation is extended specifically to assist participants to obtain travel funds, appropriate visas, approvals, sponsorship or official leave. It does not imply a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any support, financial or otherwise. During your online registration process you will be able to request an official letter of invitation. Please note that only registered delegates who have paid their Congress registration fees will be issued with a letter of invitation.

VISA APPLICATION ASSISTANCE
In order to facilitate your VISA application to your local South African Embassy, you are welcome to download an official letter from the Director General of the Department of Home Affairs to the ISN WCN 2015 Local Organizing Committee Chair Charles Swanepoel. This letter states that all South African Missions abroad are authorized to issue a VISA to all holders of an invitation letter by the ISN. CME Accreditation
ISN World Congress of Nephrology 2015 is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net.

The 'ISN World Congress of Nephrology 2015' is designated for a maximum of (or 'for up to') 18 hours of European external CME credits. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process to convert EACCME credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme.

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognized by the UEMS-EACCME for ECMEC credits are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. The EACCME credit system is based on 1 ECMEC per hour with a maximum of 3 ECMECs for half a day and 6 ECMECs for a full-day event.

Group Registrations

 

Group registrations are available for minimum of 10 persons. Group registrations are facilitated by a group representative (group contact person) via the online group registration module ONLY. 

The group contact person needs to create an ISN registration account by CLICKING HERE. Then proceed to the group registration website. After submitting contact and invoicing details he/she will be emailed a corresponding invoice with payment instructions. Upon settling payment, the group contact person will be given access to an online module, where names and contact details of participants can be submitted.

Confirmation of Registrations/ Congress Communication

Collection of Congress Material On-site
The group contact person (or an authorized representative) will collect congress badges and materials for the entire group and it is his/her sole responsibility to distribute them to each individual delegate. Collecting group congress materials is scheduled for Thursday 12 March 2015 between 15:00 and 19:00  and for Friday 13 March 2015 between 7:00 am and 12:00 ONLY (based on pre-arranged appointments). The Congress organizers will not be held responsible shall the group contact person fail to distribute congress badges and material to the delegates.
